The deadline for 2022 motor vehicle fuel fee for private vehicles is December 31. Kaohsiung Motor Vehicles Office (KOMV) has sent the overdue notices of call this month. Payers should take the last opportunity to pay as soon as possible.
According to Article 75 of Highway Act, if any vehicle owner fails to pay for the motor vehicle fuel fee in compliance with the rules, the competent highway authority is entitled to send out a notice and request the payment within the specified time. For those who have accumulated overdue payment more than NT$900, they will be fined between NT$300 and NT$3,000.
KOMV states that if payers have lost or failed to receive their payment notices, they may apply for re-issuance and pay from KIOSK in 4 major convenience stores. To save your time, avoid risk of COVID-19 infection and get rid of long waiting queue, you can also pay the fee online (https://www.mvdis.gov.tw/m3-emv-fee/fee/fuelFee).
